Groups for Growing and Connecting at WCPC

There are currently over 70 groups for growing and serving. Below is a list of the groups to grow and connect (click here for a list of serving groups). To join a group please call or email Pastor Steve or Jolene at the church at 466-0305 and they will help you find just the right group for you.

(New!) Open group for young couples meets Wednesdays 6:30-8pm meets W020 led by Curt Mulder. (Excepting summer.)
Open group discussing readings from John Calvin for co-ed all ages on Wednesdays 6:30-8 p.m. in home led by Steve Watts. (Excepting summer.)
Open group being created for Divorce Recovery on Wednesday 6:30-8 p.m. Sign-ups have started and group will begin when full.
Open group for fellowship and woodworking for young dads and sons meets Fridays twice per month in home led by Brandon Jelinek.
Filled group for couples with elementary/middle school aged kids meets Wednesdays 6:30-8pm in the Fireside Room led by Jim Allen.
(NEW!) Open social and learning group for people under 40(ish) studies various topics on Sundays at 9:45 during program year and meets for fun events outside of class led by Dave and Dollie Robin and Scott and Megan Anderson.
(NEW!) Open group meets to study great chapters of the Bible on Sundays at 9:45 in Fall 2009 only led by Howard Redmond.
(NEW!) Open group called The Connections Class for those interested in connecting with WCPC meets Sundays, February 14 at the HUB on the university campus. Call Church Office to register for this 7 week class which will get you connected to a small group.
Open group for women studying “Stories of the Bible” Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireside Room led by Janie Edwards. .
Open group for Alzheimer caregiver support meets 2nd Monday of each month at 1:00pm in Fireside Room led by Sally Ryan.
Open group for women studying a curriculum called "When LIfe & Beliefs Collide" by Carolyn Curtis James meets Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. in W028 & W0 22 led by Liz MacDonald and Marlene Albarian. Just drop in any time.
Open large group meets in Quall Hall for church-wide dinner for co-ed all ages on Wednesdays at 5:45-6:25 whenever there is normal programming. Call Church office to make a reservation 466-0305.
Open group meeting for prayer with co-ed all ages on Tuesdays at 7:pm in the Fireside Room. Just drop in or call Diana Hartvigsen.
Open group for college students meets for fellowship on varying Sundays in home led by Martha Gady. (Excepting summer.)
Open large men’s group meets for breakfast & speaker the first 1 Saturday at 7:30 many months in Quall Hall. Call church office to RSVP.
Open group discussing sermon questions meets with Fairwood Retirement residents Wednesday nights 6:30 at Fairwood led by Yvette Farney.
Filled group for men meets Wednesday morning at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast in local eateries led by Darrel Havercroft.
Open group for co-ed all ages studying Alpha curriculum meets Wednesday 6:30-8:00pm in W021 led by Debra & Cliff Garrison. This group will resume in September 2010.
Filled group for seniors meets Wednesdays at 7pm in home led by Earl and Mary Beottcher.
Filled group studying Proverbs for seniors meets Wednesdays 6:30-8pm in home led by Deen Johnson.

Filled group using sermon Growth Group questions for Co-ed all ages meets 1st and 3rd Wednesdays 6:30-8:00 in W023 led by Greg and Nancy Fritz.
Open group for stitching with senior women meets on the 2^nd and 4^th Monday evenings in home led by Lois Carpenter. Just drop in any time.
Open group doing various Bible studies for couples in 50s meets Sundays at 7pm (2x per month) in home led by Dick and JoEllen Jones.
Filled group studying The Sermon on the Mount by Oswald Chambers for couples 50 meets Wednesdays 7:00-8:30pm in homes with shared leadership, Facilitated by Stephen & Ann Winterer.
Filled group for people in their 50s-60s meets bi-weekly Thursday evenings in home led by Dave and Jan Kirkman.
Open group called “Lunch Bunch” for single women of retirement age meets monthly for lunch in Tiffany Hall led by Gail Fielding.
Open group studying Peter for men all ages meets Friday 6:45-7:45 a.m. in W022 led by Gregg Larson. Just drop in any time.
Open group studying Spiritual Gifts for men all ages meets on Saturdays at 7:30 am in the Fireside Room led by Darrel Havercroft. Just drop in any time.

Open group called Prime Timers for seniors meets twice monthly for dinner and lunch in Tiffany Hall and away trips led by Karen Yakely. Just drop in any time.

Open small group bible study for women. Study is "Discovering the Treasures of a Godly Woman" by Elizabeth George, in-depth study of Proverbs 31. Meet Tuesday mornings begining 9/22/09 in Tiffany Hall. Led by Jessica Henry and Shani Hunsaker.
Open small group bible study for women. Study is 1, 2 & 3 John and Jude. A Max Lucado study on living and loving by truth.Meets Tuesday mornings beginning 9/22/09.Led by Hollie Eastman and Kara Koerper.
