STATEMENT OF PURPOSE & PROGRAM
Whitworth Church Child Care Center is a non-profit self-supporting ministry of Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church and is licensed by the state of Washington.
The Center has been established to provide quality daycare for children ages 4 weeks through 10 years. Children are accepted regardless of ethnic origin or creed.
It is our goal to establish a warm and caring environment where each child is free to:
discover about him/herself, other people and the world around him/her;
retain and develop his/her own unique sense of creativity.
The daily program will contain a balance of enriching experiences that enhance the physical, intellectual, socio-emotional and spiritual growth of each child. Because each child’s sense of his/her own self-worth is a key to successful learning and creates a desire for further experiences, the goal will be to help each child believe in him/herself and in his/her ability to learn and interact with others.
Christian values are an important part of the basic philosophy. The staff strives to model and teach these values with Bible stories, songs, meal blessing and Christian holiday celebrations incorporated into the curriculum
